ZoneFlex Outdoor Access Points
Delivering Range and Reliability with Adaptive Antenna Technology
ZoneFlex outdoor access points uniquely combine adaptive antenna technology and adaptive meshing to enable a new level of outdoor performance at a low cost. Built to withstand the harshest of outdoor conditions, they’re designed with the flexibility to function as standalone APs or as managed devices, using the same wireless controller as their indoor Smart WiFi counterparts.
ZoneFlex outdoor access points are ideal for hotels and resorts covering pool areas, for schools and stadiums covering sports facilities, and for general enterprises covering shipping docks and other outdoor areas where Ethernet cabling is not possible, allowing networks to easily extend branded broadband services, offload bulky data traffic from congested 3G networks, deploy multimedia hotspots, or offer wireless DSL services where fixed line access is limited.
Ruckus ZoneFlex T301
802.11ac AP with narrow beam antenna for unprecedented directed coverage in high-density applications
The ZoneFlex T301 Series are dual-band 802.11ac outdoor access points (AP) designed explicitly for high density user environments such as stadiums, arenas, train stations, convention centers, and major metro areas.
Offered in either 30 degree narrow beam or 120 degree sectorized antenna versions, the T301 Series are designed for easy installation within an ultra-lightweight and low profile enclosure. The T301 Series is ideal for venue owners looking to quickly and economically deploy Wi-Fi in high-capacity environments. Using directed coverage, the APs can be deployed in close proximity, mitigating co-channel interference. This is critical for high density deployments requiring a large number of APs within a fixed space.
- 30° narrow beam or 120° sectorized antennas for very high-density deployments in arenas, stadiums, airports, etc.
- Up to 10 dB of implicit interference mitigation
- The antennas are integrated into the T301 Series APs for a minimal form factor which is essential in many deployments
- Narrow beam antennas are ideal for high-density venues where RF energy must be very narrowly focused
- IP-67 water and dustproof plastic enclosure with flexible wall or pole mounting options

The ZF 7782 Series also features a very minimal form factor with integrated antennas which is essential in many deployments, including light poles (aka street furniture) in major metro areas. These are great locations for outdoor AP deployments, but the entity that owns the poles will usually require that any AP be as unobtrusive as possible. The ZF 7782 Series is one of the most compact units in the industry.
Other key ZF 7782 Series capabilities include support for up to 500 concurrent users, integrated GPS receiver for location based services, spectrum analysis, hotspot 2.0 support for seamless roaming, SmartMesh™ wireless backhaul, ChannelFly™ support, PoE-out to power collocated small cells and much more.
- 30°, 120°, omni directional, or external antenna options for very high-density deployments in arenas, stadiums, airports, etc.
- BeamFlex+ support for up to 6 dB of signal gain and 15 dB of interference mitigation in addition to the antenna gain
- SmartMesh support for wireless backhaul in outdoor deploymentse
- Available integrated antenna for a minimal form factor, which is essential in many deployments
- IP-67 water and dust proof plastic enclosure with flexible wall, pole or ceiling mounting options ensures that no distortion of WiFi signals is introduced
- AC power standard along with power-over-Ethernet. PoE-out is also provided for collocated small cells
- BeamFlex+ and Quality of Service technology deliver 900 Mbps of user throughput (450 Mbps/radio)
